Alweer het zesde album van de Maastrichtse band The Liberators. Dit keer is er ruim twee jaar gewerkt aan dit album dat wordt uitgebracht op CD EN LP en natuurlijk op alle muziekplatformen zoals Spotify en Apple Music. Ook verkrijgbaar in de webshop van de band. Muziek? A Ride Out of Town, het rauwe titelnummer van de plaat, klinkt als de garage-rock bands uit de UK, 90 Minutes, bijna filmmuziek, Night Sky één grote improvisatie vastgelegd in één take in de studio, Solidarity over wat er eigenlijk mis is met solidair zijn in deze wereld (met Peter Hermesdorf op de sax) en Longin’ een oud Liberators-nummer, live opgenomen tijdens een optreden in Hedon in Zwolle. Luisterplezier dus! De CD is al te krijgen, de LP verwachten we in de eerste week van januari 2024, maar is al te bestellen in de webshop.

“A Ride Out of Town”, “Come On”, “Find the Groove”, “Long Journey” and “Night Sky” recorded at GAM studios in Belgium by Jo Smeets. “Can’t Run, Can’t Hide”, “Solidarity” and “Lesterfication” recorded at Bankastudios in The Netherlands by Jo Smeets. “90 Minutes” and some dubbing are recorded at Studio Mancave in The Netherlands by Lucas Vroemen. Longin’ was recorded during a live show in Hedon Zwolle, The Netherlands, on the 13th of September 2022 by engineer Prem Chaisuwan during a live radio show for BluesWorld, hosted by Tonio Aa.
